Extra Virgin Olive Oil: renowned for its exceptional nourishing benefits, containing vitamins A,E, D, and K, helping to maintain the smooth and suppleness of the skin.    It has the ability to reduce inflammation, making it ideal for those with sensitive skin, and is a powerful natural antioxidant supporting your skin in maintaining a healthy and radiant glow.

Coconut Oil: is anti-bacterial and brings good cleansing properties to the skin.  It adds a luscious rich lather to handmade soaps whilst improving hydration.  Coconut oil is known to provide light moisturising qualities to improve the softness of the skin.

Shea Butter: rich in essential fatty acids which are easily absorbed by the skin, contains vitamin A and E helping to protect the skin from environmental factors, effective conditioning, and anti-inflammatory properties, helping to soothe and hydrate.

Cocoa Butter:  has great conditioning and hydrating properties, as it is rich in essential fatty acids that nourish and protect the skin. It has excellent soothing benefits making it ideal for those with sensitive skin and is a powerful natural antioxidant helping to keep your skin looking youthful and healthy.

Wheat Germ Oil: is thought to be one of nature’s best sources of vitamin E.  It has effective healing and conditioning properties, helping to rejuvenate the skin.

Sunflower (Seed) Oil: rich in linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid that studies have shown can help maintain skin’s natural moisture barrier, helping to prevent water loss and keep moisture in. It is shown to have anti-inflammatory benefits making it ideal for those with sensitive skin.

Lavender Essential Oil has been used for centuries, for its medicinal properties. It is beneficial in the treatment of eczema, psoriasis and acne, burns, and insect bites due to its powerful antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Lavender is thought to help to stimulate cellular growth to rejuvenate the skin and is one of the few essential oils that can be applied directly.   It has a distinct floral aroma, which is thought to have a positive effect on the nervous system, helping to induce sleep and aid relaxation.

Clary Sage Essential Oil has been used since Greek times and has many positive emotional effects.  It is thought to promote feelings of well-being and happiness as well as helping to relieve nervous tension.   Its complex scent has been described as being woody, nutty, herby, spicy, and earthy and is an absolute gift to the perfumer.  It should be avoided in pregnancy as it is thought to bring on labour.
